A letter from our pastors

You have a part in these stories.

As Tiffany and I look back over this year, we are overwhelmed by God's goodness. Kids are discovering Jesus. Students are finding a place to belong. People are being cared for in some of life's hardest seasons. Your generosity has helped make these moments possible.

Now we have an opportunity to set the pace for the year ahead. We believe there are more people to reach, more lives to see changed, and more that God wants to do through our church.

Hope for our neighbors

Here.

People finding community at Hope City

Too many people in Sarasota are still searching for hope and a place to belong.

Help more people find their place.

We want people to experience a church where their name is remembered, their family is welcomed, and someone walks alongside them as they take their next step toward Jesus.

  • Help people connect before they walk through our doors. Three auditorium cameras will improve the online experience, and a community mailer will invite more neighbors to discover Hope City.
  • Give kids and students room to grow. Funding for Kids Camp and help with Student Camp costs will make meaningful experiences with Jesus and trusted leaders more accessible.
  • Make room for relationships. Tables, seating, and furnishings will create welcoming places to stay, talk, and build community-including space for our growing Youth ministry.

More neighbors finding hope. More families finding community. More people taking their next step.

Hope beyond our walls

There.

Practical care and compassion, from our campaign booklet

Need doesn't stop at our doors-and neither should our generosity.

Extend care farther than we could go alone.

Through trusted ministry partners, your generosity can help feed a child, meet a family's practical needs, and support people carrying the gospel into their communities.

  • Convoy of Hope: support relief and feeding efforts for children and families around the world.
  • Connect Caribbean Mission: help purchase a ministry vehicle for work in the Dominican Republic.
  • Association of Related Churches (ARC): help launch new churches and build a foundation for future missions generosity.
  • Mothers Helping Mothers and Prodigal Daughters House: support practical care that communicates dignity and helps people move forward.
  • Revival Thrift Store: provide gift certificates so people facing need can choose items that help in their circumstances.

Together, we can put practical help and the hope of Jesus within reach of more people.

Hope for generations

Eternity.

A Hope City Kids leader caring for the next generation

The church of tomorrow requires us to prepare today.

Prepare a place for people we have yet to meet.

Picture children growing up at Hope City and becoming the leaders who serve the next generation. Families finding support through every season. A church continuing to bring the hope of Jesus to Sarasota for years to come.

Heart for the House will support planning studies and dedicated staff time to explore options for a future church home, understand what is possible, and prepare wisely for the decisions ahead.

This is the groundwork for that future, while we continue caring for the people God has entrusted to us today.

What we prepare today can help the next generation know, love, and follow Jesus.

For the one

A simple invitation can become someone's story of hope.

"I was given space, but I wasn't ignored."

David first encountered Hope City at Saturday Fun Day at his son's school. He was walking through a difficult season and wasn't looking for a church. He remembers the kindness of the people who welcomed him without pushing.

A year later, he and his son walked into Hope City. Today, David serves as our Service Producer. His story reminds us that a community event, a conversation, or an invitation can become part of how someone discovers Jesus.

David Kingsley · From his story in the Heart for the House booklet

A faith that lasts.

Kids Camp welcomed 125 children, nearly half from the community. More than 80 volunteers helped create a place to have fun, build friendships, and discover Jesus. Our heart is to keep camp completely free.

A place to belong.

Hope City Youth grew from 14-16 students at a typical Youth Night to consistently seeing 30+. Six students connected to the ministry were baptized this year.

No one walks alone.

Our Care Team's 19 volunteers have cared for more than 30 people, providing over 40 meals and more than 10 hospital visits. Generosity becomes tangible when someone knows they are not alone.

Take your next step

"God, what part would You have me play?"

Each of us has different resources and circumstances. We aren't asking for equal gifts. We're inviting everyone to participate. Take time to consider what a meaningful, generous response looks like for you in this season.

1

Pray about your part.

Set aside time to ask God what He would have you give. If you're giving as a household, have that conversation together.

2

Choose your gift. Make a plan.

You can give once or plan several gifts over the offering season. Decide when you will give and put those dates on your calendar.

3

Give with purpose.
